Camp ROAR

September 18, 2017 0 comments
ROAR students, mentors, and NECIC staff had a great time roughing it over the weekend!

The trip, facilitated by NECIC Summer Intern Cassie Huvler and NECIC Community Organizer Kay Smith, took the group to the Mohican Wilderness Campground.

The students enjoyed hiking and exploring.

They learned skills, such as cooking, navigation, and fire building.

And, most importantly, made new friends and had a lot of fun!

We would like to thank Third Street Family Health, Apollo Healthcare, and Oasis of Love Church for their generous donations of backpacks and toiletries. We would also like to thank Mohican Wilderness for their hospitality. Thank you to Pizza Hut of Loudonville and Subway of Bellville for their generous discounts. A special thank you to Leonarda Greter of Greter Photography for her service as a mentor, and for the wonderful photos. All photos in this article are courtesy of Greter Photography - her full album can be found here.

Check out the FaceBook Album for photos submitted by ROAR Mentor Justin Schaffer!

If you have a 7th - 12th grade Mansfield City School student who would like to participate in the ROAR program, please call Kay Smith at 419-525-3101.
