Citizen Action Sector Meetings give residents an opportunity to discuss community issues, make information available to government agencies, track responses, and provide feedback on results.
Citizen Action Sector Meetings are an example of transformative organizing and transformative convening, where NECIC focuses on bringing community members and agencies together for intensive problem solving to make the North End a better place. Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 4 p.m. at the NECIC office, 199 N. Main St., Mansfield. Contact us for more information.
US 30 Improvement Project
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is seeking feedback from residents and stakeholders regarding the impending US 30 Improvement project. To that end, a public meeting was held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017.
According to ODOT, “The project is intended to improve pavement conditions and improve safety on US 30 from SR 13 to Fifth Avenue. The project will remove the existing interchange at SR 13 and SR 545 and provide a new US 30 Interchange, a new North-South Connector Road and a new East-West Connector Road, as well as provide safe access for residents and businesses to and from US 30.”
ODOT is interested in input on two specific points:
1. The location of a connector road from US 30 to SR 13
2. What type of intersection to place at the US 30-SR 13 connection (i.e. traffic light, roundabout, stop sign, etc.)
ODOT is accepting public comments, and suggestions until Wednesday, March 22, 2017. To submit comments, please email Donald.Rostofer@dot.ohio.gov, or mail your input to:
