Small Grants

The North End Small Grant program is intended to help connect people, promote neighborhood pride, encourage community involvement, and support volunteerism, while providing a public benefit to the North End community. The Small Grant program helps advance the North End Community Economic Development (CED) Plan, which is a resident driven, roadmap for the future of Mansfield’s North End.

The North End Small Grant program has been revamped and closely tied to North End Neighbor Up Night. Small Grant applications are only available at North End Neighbor Up Night, and completed applications are due at the following month’s meeting. Because North End Neighbor Up Night is all about residents coming together to collaborate solutions for neighborhood issues, it is a perfect opportunity to enlist volunteers, and to get immediate feedback on grant proposals.

Criteria for grants:

1) Project must have a public benefit for the North End
2) Project must address at least one recommendation or topic in NECIC’s Community Economic Development Plan
3) Projects must come from either 3 North End residents, or 2 non-profit organizations in the North End or that serve the North End. Organizations must provide a dollar for dollar match for grant funds.
