Are you passionate about empowering minority-owned businesses and driving positive change in underserved communities? NECIC is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Minority Business Assistance Center (MBAC) Business Advisor.

Position Overview

As an MBAC Business Advisor, you will play a crucial role in providing guidance, resources, and support to minority-owned businesses in our region. Your responsibilities will include one-on-one consulting, business development, resource navigation, financial analysis, market research, training facilitation, networking, and community engagement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, entrepreneurship, economics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business consulting, entrepreneurship support, economic development, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of small business dynamics, challenges faced by minority entrepreneurs, and strategies for business growth and success.
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant technology.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business administration, entrepreneurship, economics, or related field.
  • Familiarity with the NECIC strategic and CED plans.
