The North End Community Improvement Collaborative, Inc. (NECIC) is looking for an energetic, motivated college students to join us as PAID INTERNS!!!!  and make an impact right here in Mansfield's North End!

Start Date: July 1, 2025

Compensation: $12.00 per hour, up to 360 hours

General Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or trade program

  • Strong organizations and communications skills

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as a team

  • Comfortable working with people from all backgrounds

  • Valid driver's license and insurance required

 Community Organizer Intern

Special Vibes We're Looking For: Passion for community organizing, civic engagement, grassroots leadership - if you're about making change, this is for YOU!

  • Support resident engagement programs (Elder Program, mentoring)
  • Identify and support local leaders and volunteers
  • Do community outreach at local events
  • Assist with tracking and reporting data

NECIC Staffing Support Intern

Specials Vibes We're Looking For: Interest in HR, workforce development, nonprofit administration - come help folks get JOBS and build opportunity!

  • Assist with interviews, onboarding, background checks
  • Enter timesheets and suport daily staffing operations
  • Help plan events and trainings
  • Support outreach and marketing efforts
  • Work with the staff and community partners

 NELFI (North End Local Food Initiatives) Support Intern

Special Vibes We're Looking For: Love local food? Into urban farmin? Want to grow your skills AND plants?

  • Support community gardens and the NECIC Teaching Garden
  • Help run the North End Farmers Market
  • Assist with garden education programs
  • Recruit and coordinate volunteers
  • Promote local food initatives in the community

Most be able to lift at list 20 to 50 lbs, work in all elements including exterme heat and rain, lots of bending, standing, squatting and turning.

Special Project for ALL Interns:
Asset & Grant Inventory Project

  • Review and track equipment & purchases for NECIC’s farm sites
  • Document and photograph assets
  • Cross-check purchases with grant records
  • Assist NECIC Finance and Operations staff
