The Staffing Specialist for NECIC Staffing helps expand our mission-driven staffing model into Wayne County and surrounding areas. This role combines recruiting, interviewing, and placing candidates with building relationships and developing new business opportunities.
The ideal candidate is a people-focused professional who thrives on connecting talent to opportunity, growing employer partnerships, and advancing community-based workforce development. Recruit, interview, and identify candidates for temporary and temp-to-hire placements with area employers.
Conduct pre-employment screenings, background checks, and onboarding processes.
Lead client-specific orientations and training sessions to prepare associates for work assignments.
Use job boards, social media, and proactive outreach to attract qualified job seekers.
Develop new business opportunities by identifying and reaching out to potential employer partners.
Maintain a sales pipeline and track outreach activity to support growth goals in Wayne County and surrounding areas.
Collaborate with NECIC leadership to set and achieve placement, retention, and revenue targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local employers, workforce agencies, and training partners.
Respond promptly to client requests for staffing support and assist with associate-related issues.
Provide coaching, counseling, or replacement support as needed to ensure client satisfaction.
Represent NECIC Staffing at community events, job fairs, and business networking functions to promote our mission and services.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee and client records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Coordinate with NECIC’s finance and operations teams to support payroll, reporting, and compliance needs.
Support safety training and communication during onboarding and throughout associate assignments.
Uphold and promote NECIC’s values of equity, empowerment, and second-chance employment in every interaction.
Partner with community organizations to connect individuals facing employment barriers to supportive services.
Represent NECIC on committees, workgroups, and local workforce initiatives across Wayne County
The Chief Executive Office or the Chief Operating Officer may assign other duties as necessary.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in staffing, HR, recruiting, or workforce development.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage people from all backgrounds and walks of life.
Organized, dependable, and self-motivated, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, email communication, and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
Valid Ohio driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel.
Experience in payroll processing, safety training, or HR compliance.
Familiarity with Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) principles and local workforce or community initiatives.
Previous experience in sales, business development, or commission-based environments is a plus.
